Tara PressTara is an independent press set up as a result of the e-publishing revolution.

Our first book was the 1984 novel, The Summerhouse by Val Mulkerns. Initially brought out by the London publishing house John Murray (Byron’s publisher). Our version was its 3rd Edition.

Our second was Red Lamp Black Piano, an anthology of new work by writers and poets who have read at the arts event, The Cáca Milis Cabaret.  With its introduction by Patrick McCabe and eclectic range of contributors, from Dermot Bolger to Erin Fornoff with Eoin Colfer and Kate Dempsey in between, it packs a anthological punch.

Also available is the 10th Anniversary Edition of Turbulence – Corrib Voices, originally published in 2003.  An anthology featuring writers from the MA in Writing at the National University of Ireland, Galway, it has an introduction by Irish author Mike McCormack (Solar Bones).

All books are available online in print and eBook editions, on Amazon and a range of outlets internationally.  In bookstores across the world, paperback editions of all our books can be ordered directly from any shop by referencing our distribution outlets Ingrams, Gardners, Bertlemans and more.
